if you are trying to decorate your home, they have a great color coordinating machine at the harware store...I think home depot has one. You can type in what color you are paining your walls, and it will tell you which colors would look nice on your furniture etc. Almost all colors contrast if you do them corectly and in the right tone so thats impossible to answer...

colours that contrast are ones that are on opposite sides of the colour wheel. Blue opposite yellow, green opposite red....colours that don't contrast are ones that are close together....green/blue, orange/yellow, etc.

there are many colours that can contrast .for ease if you imajine a
lite coloured wall,youcan imajine alight shade these two may come in contrast.for eg,cream colour n yellow come in contrast .
the same happens with darker shades.

Green and blue aren't the best match. Black goes with anything, except maybe brown shoes with black pants on guys.
