Sorry you have received such a sarcastic reception from your yahoo audience. The facts are....it CAN happen.
It is called "SUPERFECUNDATION"

Here is a story:

Heteropaternal superfecundation is very rare in humans, though more common in other animals. This is primarily due to the predominance of 1:1 heterosexual partner pairings among humans. A woman who has sexual relations with two or more men at short intervals within the same ovulatory period can be impregnated by both men.

There have been noted examples in the past. The classic case, which is discussed in Williams Obstetrics (1980), was recorded in 1810 by John Archer, the first doctor to receive a medical degree in the United States. According to Archer, a white woman who had sex with a black man and a white man within a short time subsequently gave birth to twins--one white, one mulatto. Other cases have been reported since.

Good luck with your report. I twill be fascinating since obviously not very many people know, or believe it to be possible.

See the links below.

Okay, here is a weird thing, I have heard... It is possible that a woman releases two eggs at one time during an ovulation cycle (of course this can be potentially twins...) Sperm can live up to 72 hours within a woman's body after sexual contact. If a few "old sperm" are swimming around waiting for the release of an egg, and on the very rare chance that one does become fertilized, and the other egg doesn't, the woman is pregnant (But does not know it yet)... So then, before the unfertilized egg dissolves , she has sex again and this egg becomes fertilized. Technically, she has gotten pregnant while pregnant. (She will now have twins, AND if the second guy she had sex with within a few hours of the first conception, is a different man, then she will give birth to twins with different fathers...strange, huh?) I saw this on the The Learning Channel. Crazy, I know. This is probably not what your question was asking, but thought I would throw it into the mix. Basically the answer to your question is no.

If by chance you are pregnant now, and think some odd thing is going to cause you to think you have now conceived in mid term you should see your OBGYN.

In short you cannot conceive while you are actually carrying a baby. But weird stuff does happen, If by some very odd chance and egg got loose and somehow a sperm made the right contact it would do what it should do. But would likely be ectopic, not good.... The likelihood of that happening has got to be in the billions to 1 range. IF you are experiencing pain or unusual cramps see you doctor.

If you just want to know if you can continue to have sex while pregnant, the answer is yes. Stay off your belly, keep him off your belly.

it is very very rare but I have heard cases of it happening.

When you are pregnant normally you cease ovulating for the duration of the pregnancy. There is a mucus plug over your cervix preventing anyhting for getting through the cervix and into the uterus, including semen.

In very very rare cases a woman can ovulate whilst pregnant and semen can penetrate through the mucus plug somehow and fertilise the egg thus resulting in a further pregnancy.

Look it up on the net, do a little more research into it, I'm sure you will get more detailed answers that way. Good luck with your report.

Ok now i have heard that this is true although i have never seen it. The only way this can happen is if you ended up with 2 uterus's which is a very rare condition. But there are people who say it has happened i would suggest searching for it and see what you find. But yes i have heard that this can happen since you can have a pregnacy in each womb. No matter if there is another pregnacy or not.

I've only heard of one case where the woman became pregnant again while pregnant. She had two wombs due to the fact that she was suppose to be a twin but the egg never separated so she had duplicate sex organs. (Like Siamese twins who share an organ but have separate bodies, only in reverse. She had one body and two sets of uterus' and fallopian tubes.) Even the doctors didn't find out till she gave birth and they still had vital signs on an unborn fetus. But someone with "normal" reproductive organs can't conceive while pregnant. It's using that principle that birth control like the patch, pill and IUDs work.

only if you are a few hours pregnant. Some ferternal twins are hours apart. My sister is having twins and the doctor told her that that boy was conceived three hours after the girl. But who knows that they're pregnant that soon. You cannot get pregnant 2 days + later.

no you can not get pregnant after you conceive because your cycles will stop and your body releases a egg 2 weeks after your cycle and once you have conceived your body will not go through the ovulation process to get pregnant some times women release 2 eggs but it is very rare but that is during the ovulation process

My guess would be no since while you are pregnant you are not ovualting (producing eggs)

But look it up though because stranger things have happened.

Try looking for a pregnancy site. One with a quesion and answer site. I like www.webmd.com

just post a question and you will get tons of responses
