Have you ever seen Steel Magnolias? It isn't recent,but it is a really great movie,espicially if you live in the south. Another good movie would be the Fridays series,if your into gangster movies.

Take her to go see cars, or pirates of the carribean two. She'll find them funny, but she won't feel like they're little kids movies. It will make her feel more grown up if you take her to movies that aren't totally little kid based.
