I have two other kids and both times, I tested and it was instantly postive. This time, I was four days late, tested, and got a negative. I still haven't started, but if I am pregnant, I probably got pregnant on the 18th of June, which means I'm only a couple weeks along. What do you think? Did I just test too early? Anyone experience something like this? Thanks everyone.

I am having the same problem. I took a test yesterday and I should have started yesterday, I have had very tender breasts and the works, but I come up with negative results. I will tell you my friend got preg on March 16 and took a test on April 16 and it was neg, she took another on the 22nd and got a positive.

Hey there - First of all the silliest question -- Did you have unprotected sex. If you did, then yes there's always a chance you could be pregnant.

Next -- you say you are late with your menstrual period. By four days? If you ovulated late and implanted late then a test wouldn't always show positive yet.

I'd wait a week, test again.

If it's still negative, and you are always on time regarding your cycle, then call your OB and have a blood test, which is called a quantative beta. This test will give you accurate hCG levels which are indicative of pregnancy. Take care and good luck:)

You can get false negatives, as well as false positives. It usually means you took the test too early to tell or that it was just a bad test. I suggest waiting at least a week from your first test and take it again. If it comes up negative again, go to your ob-gyn and they can do a blood test to determine if you are pregnant.

But YES, you can be pregnant even if the test said you're not. Good luck!

If you think you are a couple of weeks along then a pregnancy test should pick up on the hcg levels in your body if you are pregnant. I would wait a few days and then re-test if it still says negitive then you should contact your Dr and make an appt.

There is still a chance you are pregnant and your HCG levels are just not high enough to trigger a positive on a pregnancy test. Blood tests are far more accurate and will pick up a pregnancy earlier than a urine test.

YES! Go to the local health department or you family/OBGYN doctor and have a blood test done. There are also tests you can use five days before your missed period. But I would go to a doctor to be sure.

I tested at 2 wks and it said negative. Tested 2 wks later and it was screaming positive at me. :) I would test again.... You probably aren't making enough of the pregnancy horomone to show up. Good luck!

Absolutely. You should go to your doctor. They will give you a blood test. With my first child, the EPT was negative 2 times, so I went to my doctor and she gave me a blood test and said I was!

your body may not be producing enough hgh hormone. wait and test again. remember you can get a false negative. it's unlikely you will get a false positive. Make sure you take the earliest response test.
