You will want to look into Cisco CCNP certifications of network maintenance.

This will greatly assist you in understanding networks, and potential security problems that may arise from poorly managed / designed networks.

If you are looking for Network (security) Certs then the options are :-

1. CCSP (www.cisco.com)
2. CCIE (Security) (www.cisco.com/ccie)
3. CISSP
4. CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) (by E-council)
5. CHFI (by e-council)

You can also go for CISA or BS7799. These are Information Security based.

you need to be in a position to do it. My son has a BSC in organic maths & physics and an MSC in radiation physics and a Phd in polymer physics. He became offered jobs in banking, funding and all sorts of different parts. What the Employers are searching for is the flexibility to be logical, problem fixing and so on. absolutely everyone with Maths ranges fit the criteria o.k.. no pick to bypass to Oxbridge for Maths, it is the ranges that remember no longer the position you've you ever have studied. good success. bypass for it.
