Hitler was underfunded.
Gratefully, America's intelligence during WW2 caught Union Bank financing the Third Reich ( This was "W"'s grandpappy). The bank was fined and the incident swept under the carpet (ain't it grand to have wealth).

If you really want an eye opener read, "Fortunate Son" by James H Hatfield. It's tough to get a copy, the original publisher burned most of the copies shortly before the 2000 election and yanked many of the copies off the shelves. (I know, poor syntax).

I had to get my local bookseller to order a copy from some underground publishing company. Honestly, if you vote you should read this. It will really p#ss you off.

Hitler was most certainly underestimated, in the worst way. Unfortunately, looking through rose colored glasses, and just wanting to "get along" prevented europeans from seeing/believing in what the man was capable of.

It truly is a shame that Adolf Hitler turned out to be crazy, addicted to drugs, and a flaming racist, because, like what he did or not, his vision created some truly awe inspiring achievements, some of which can still be felt to this day. Most of these achievements were break-throughs in the sciences, and led to the development of modern jet engines, advanced building materials, genetics research, etc.

The things that the Nazis and Hitler did were truly horrible, and I make no arguments for it, but he was a man of great vision, however horrible his actions and motives were.

The problem at the time Hitler took power was that the World had just gone thru WW I and everybody hoped the problem would just go away. Everybody tryed to appease Hitler but in the end he had to be dealt with.

Yes, Hitler was very undererestimated by all the leaders in the world in the 1930's. Many of these world leaders thought if they try and give to him he might just go away. They thought he was a very harmless madman; and also the last thing these world leaders want was to plunge the world into another war. Since it was about 20 years since the last one was fought in Europe so the last they thing they needed was another world conflict. But did Hitler go away, nope he and "his friends" plunged the world into a 6 year long war that saw millions of people die even in his own country. That war saw 6 million Jewish people die who could have been grand parents and parents to another 20 million Jewish people.

Winston Churchill was raising flags in regards to Hitler's military buildup for years and they thought he was nuts. So yes, people very much underestimated Hitler (But Winston sure as hell didn't).

Yes, he was. Big time. But then again, he didn't show his true stripes until he had complete control of the government and the country.

"Misunderestimated"?? No, I think we had him nailed pretty well. Well enough to prompt him to eat his gun, that's for sure!
