Glass has a higher thermal conductivity, so the heat from your hand transfers to the glass easier than wood or paper.

Because glass conducts heat better - meaning that it heats up (or cools down quicker). In this case, sounds like the glass is lower temp than your body (it's probably room temperature), but it absorbs your heat faster so it feel colder. In actuality, all the objects are the same temperature - they just feel different.

It has to do with the thermodynamic properties of the glass. The glass has a higher thermal conductivity (conducts heat away from your hand faster) as well as relatively high specific heat (stays cold when your touching it instead of heating up).

Grab a piece of metal the same temperature and it should feel even colder than the glass.

The glass conducts heat away from your hand better than wood or paper, and thus it feels colder.

wood and paper is a better insulator, the temperature is the same, the glass will allow you to feel the cold quicker, as your body temperature is probably warmer than the glass, (consider this test is performed indoors)

glass is a better conductor and absorber of heat than both wood and paper so it rapidly gets cool when placed in a cold environment........this is owing to the type of composition material

It is more dense, hence is a better conductor of heat. In other words, it takes the heat out of your hand more quickly than wood or paper.

Angus H uses big words. i say that wood and paper absorb it and glass kind of repels it so we feel what the glass is repelling. maybe. it sounds right...go me!
