I have never had chrome rims before, and didn't realize that they needed to be cleaned very often. I went all winter like a bonehead without cleaning them. I have them just about clean, but there is still some brake dust baked on the outside of the rims and a little on the openings on the inside of the rims. Any suggestions would be very helpful.

Go to Autozone and ask them for a cleaner. They carry what you need.

There is a product out there and I forgot the name, but after you clean the wheels good you apply it on the wheels, It is supposed to make it wash off real easy. You could try different pads that are more metallic in them as well.

Simple green and a brush. Eagle 1 makes a good product that has Teflon that helps clean and keep wheels clean.
when you get new brake pads next time get ceramic pads they emit less dust and last longer.

if you go to a detailing store you can buy a degreeser. If you just want a one time thing go to a local car wash and they should do it for $5.
