What kind of small business would need a website?

I ask this question because I do website design and sometimes I find that people hesitate with having a website because they don't see the need. http://www.oterodesign.com

All businesses that want to attract more customers should be on the internet.
I'm guessing you're dealing with local businesses who think they only need to use 'traditional marketing' methods. There are lots of online sources, like PEW/Internet that keep stats that tell you how much the internet is used. For instance, 75% of u.s. households use the internet as a resource when shopping locally.
My advice to you, however, is to focus on marketing to businesses that understand the potential and necessity of being on the internet instead of trying to convince someone so behind the times.

Mine. I have a psychic business and I also am a film maker and clothing designer with a whole catalouge of things I make for sale on the market. Cannot afford just yet to have a web site. I was layed up due to an MVA and am just now trying to get myself going again.
