BET stands for Black Entertainment Television....Therefore they only play songs and shows that appeal to the black community. Not saying that some rock doesn't appeal to the black community but the majority of the time they play rap and R&B because those are the generes that are most popular in a black community.

You know i think its funny that BET assumes that black pple only listen to hip hop n rap n stuff, i mean im black n i listen to rock too, rock music entertains us too! i think they should make an effort to represent all black pple as opposed to only the hip hop heads.
