Go to a store that sells laundry products and look for some of these products by Rit....
Rit Color Brightener
Rit White-Wash
Rit Whitener & Brightener
Rit Rust Remover (if you have iron in your water)
Remember bleach will discolor some white fabrics so be sure and read the washing instructions before you wash the fabric.
Blueing is also sometimes used but be careful of this product and use as directed as not to dye your fabrics.
Hope this helps you find what you need to take care of your white fabrics.

A chlorine bleach will eventually cause yellowing. An oxygen bleach will restore some whitening. Bluing cancels out the yellowing by chlorine bleach. The best way to get whites really white is to dry them on a line in the sun. After they are dry, tumble them in a dryer on low or no heat to remove the stiffness. Washing in soft water helps a lot. The graying is caused by detergent residue that isn't completely rinsed out.

I do it with Mrs. Smit's bluing for extra whiteness. All of my hubby's white socks and tees stay extra white when I add a few drops to the load and let them soak with detergent and a cup of bleach to the large load.
It works so well, I use it in my fountains to keep the water clear and when I bathe my two white American Eskimo fur babies. Everyone always asks me how I can keep white dogs looking sparkling clean all the time.

I dont think you can whites as white as they were when u first bought them. Unless u are exra carefull and dont get any dirt on them. and wash them right after u take them off. Clorox also says they make clothes whiter, but i think it just makes them a yellow color.

Depending on the fabric, bleach or bluing. I would also be more careful to wash my whites separately from any colored clothes.

OXI CLEAN from Orange Glo International from Walmart. I just asked my brother when did he buy a new shirt he said " I have had this for years!" WHAT! His wife uses OXI CLEAN! WOW!!! try it is looks GREAT. TO ME: Bleach tends to yellow after awhile and makes fabric fall apart.

when washing white cottons use warm not 'hot' water. hot water turns cottons yellow. also not too much bleach because it breaks down the fibers in your clothes (a little dab'l do ya!) which makes them look dull and dingy sooner.

Use bleach, that's as close as your gonna get. They will never be exactly as white as when you first buy them.

bleach is probably the best, dilute the bleach in water and soak clothes. or starch but i don't know the rules on that. vanish is cool too, but don't use it on lace or it will yellow.
