By being a "listener". Everyone wants to feel like they have been heard and seen...so eye contact is important. Be complimentary. Be supportive. Lighten up. Bring some sunshine, some energy into the equation.Don't play games, be sincere. In the end, what you give out will return to you. maybe not from the person you were kind to, but someone else will see it and appreciate it. And those are the people you want to spend time with.

It depends if there is anything wrong with your relationships.
If you are just basic friends and you would like to have "best friends", then just make sure you are there for them, and keep in contact with them. Ask them if they would like to go out for a drink, or meet for lunch, or come round for a chat and TV.
Throwing a party is always good to improve relationships with friends, have a few people round for whatever kind of party you like. Dinner party, disco, fancy dress, they all work.
Email them jokes and things, to show them you want to communicate with them on all kinds of levels, and just generally be around for them.

By be being open and honest and just being there when they need you. Also, make the effort to call them every so often or email them. Arrange to do things that you both / all enjoy. Find out their interests and get involved.
