I would like to know how to start a community tv.

You can take over the local public station in your area by having sponsers and enough programs and a written plan to have them grant you a block of time.
If you want to start from scratch call the FCC and ask them what is the frequency you can broadcast without violating the law.
It would be easier if you just made an online show and then shop your shows to local stations to air at night or on weeekends.

Never be afraid to ask you might get it! I have a vacant fully equipped satelllite station at my disposal in London.UK. All you need now is to put together the What, where, why and whens. There are 120 advertising spots a week available. so start looking at 12 hours live and 12 hours pre-recorded. no sex!

First of all you need a license..depending on where you live.
Next you have to get a sponsor for the equipments, or you could aske the community for the money.
Then you start asking the people of your community to work for free and you think of what programmes you want to have.

If you do not have enough money to start your own station straight away, try making your own programmes, and once you have gained recognition for those, and sold some hit ones to other stations, you may have enough money your own station.
Just get yourself out there and noticed, network network network.

Buy an existing station and remake it in your own image. Then make vast profits out of it and set off on becoming Rupert Murdoch 2.0!

It takes a lot of money. You either have to fund your own original programming or pay a boatload for licensing. Be sure to sell advertising for local businesses if you just want to do it locally.
