Lets see they want the truth but then just use the truth to reject you... So you have no money and can't pay the bills...

How many borning low pay dead end jobs get listed as fantasic opportunity instead or crap job, crap pay but hey if despirate contact us...

Likewise if honest why do they get up set when if they ask what salary you like.... you answer £1,909,000 a week and a company speedboat)

Or what do you like doing?..... going out with the lads to get pissed, do some dope, and try our best to get a shag, pref with two girls at the same time.

People need work but to an employer its not their problem if you are going to loose your house...

So whats the big deal in lying to get a job, knowing you get the sack when found out simply to get experience as employers seem obsessed by that...

No job, no experience, no experience, no job.

If lying you clearly want to get off your *** and not sponge benefits .

And at least you get to pay the bills.

Or does not lying mean you are being responsible and doing all y6ou can to find work?

Don't they get many have been out of work?

LET ME PUT THIS REAL SIMPLE...

WHATS THE POINT IN TELLING THE TRUTH...

IF NOBODY WILL GIVE YOU A JOB WHEN YOU TELL THE TRUTH?

CAN'T YOU UNDERSTAND... PEOPLE ONLY LIE WHEN TELLING THE TRUTH DOES NOT WORK...

WHAT ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO DO BRING WEAPONS TO AN INTERVIEW AND THREATEDN VIOLENCE OR KIDNAP THE KIDS TO MAKE THEM GIVE YOU A JOB...

Then put in all the effort and show how keep you are...

WHAT ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO DO?

STAY UNEMPLOYED?

BECOME A PROSTITUTE?

SELL HEROIN TO CHILDREN

ROB BANKS

MUG GRANNIES

ENSD UP STARVING ON THE STREETS AND THEN GET LABLED A BUM

OR DO WHAT YOU NEED TO TO GET THE JOB AND GET YOURSELF IN A POSITION TO BE ABLE TO SHOW YOU CAN DO IT...

DONT YOU EVER PAUSE TO THINK THAT PEOPLE DONT LIE AS A THIEF OR DISHONEST.

ITS AS THEYRE IS SO MUCH COMPETITION THEY GET FED UP OF REJECTION

AND DONT WANT TO BE TRHOWN ONTO THE STREETS AS HONEST?

Just reading your comments tells me you lack self confidence. Yeah companies, exaggerate about what they offer. Likewise, you do the same to get any job you want. Try it! Even if you don't have the experience. You need to show enthusiasm along with confidence,," like saying Yeah I can do that! It's how you present yourself. I HAVE gotten myself jobs, from one extreme to another. with absolutely NO experience. But IF you do get the job, make sure, you can carry your own weight. I went from being a Barber, to Sales, to doing payroll in a office, to driving and delivering. Not to mention others that I have done. My hubby says, how do you do that? Many Many times , it is not the experience, but your personality! If you show enthusiasm in the position, fake like you know what you are doing, and BE That Can Do Type ATTITUDE, I guarantee, you'll be stepping right up there to top dog.Don't think about your problems or think negative about anything, Any negative thought, you must refuse that thought that comes to mind, but instead Have confidence in YOURSELF!!!! Say to yourself I can be anything and do anything! Try to be Motivated and Excited about a job, you'll get there. Just find a job that sounds most interesting to you, and GO FOR IT! The same attitude, like picking up two girls for yourself at the same time!

The "at will" laws are written for the benefit of big business. Employers already have a million and one ways to get rid of someone and leave them with no legal recourse. Being able to fire someone for "lying" is just part of their control and power over employees. Interestingly, I have been inside hundreds of companies and have yet to see even one that is like its public image. In short, they can lie and steal and cheat all the time, but only when it's advantageous for them. When you do it, it's "wrong." Welcome to Corporate America.

Edited to add: By the way, if an employers wants the person, they will overlook the most egregious acts. If they don't, they will nitpick the most minor ones.

As a restaurant manager I do a lot of hiring...I detest people who lie on their application for the simple reason they are not being truthful. If they can't even be honest on a piece of paper, how can I expect someone to be honest if I put them in charge of a piece of equipment worth several thousands of dollars...or worse: a drawer full of cash money???

AND I have seen it many times: people who lie on their application notoriously become unreliable after a short time.

Lying on an application is a good indication the person can not be trusted...they're actually being honest in a way: they tell you right from the start they can not be trusted.

You are correct in what you say, companies can be the biggest liars of all especially where their job descriptions are concerned, in a recent survey by (the IVF professor of the telly) children who lie and cheat are the ones that tend to be successful as adults - says it all. After all the guy running a NHS hospital for years lied about everything on his CV, did a good job though. As an employer if somebody lied about their experience to get the job I would understand how desperately they wanted that job, which to me means they are more than likely to give it their all.

The truth is important to an potential employer because this is a foundation of your character. No employer wants an employee with bad character. An honest applicant will be more beneficial to an honest company. If you have a negative, either disclose it upfront in your initial interview, or find an employer more accepting. "Murder will out." Most employers want to know they can trust the person they hire. Lying shows you cannot handle that trust.

Not everyone wants to stay home and get stoned with their friends.
