I've seen some programs that allow you to play a favorite tune at an appointed time, an alarm clock in esscence. Yet you have to leave your computer on all night; I'm unwilling to do this as it is a great waste of electricity. Is there any way I can have my computer automaticly boot up or something or an inexpensive alarm clock that acts as an mp3 player so you can wake up with your favorite tunes?

You can put your computer in hibernation, then use the event manager to play the tune at the appointed time. The computer comes out of hibernation to perform the appointed event, and you wake up.

My iPod also works as an alarm clock. You can set it at a specific time to play your favorite music as an alarm sound. This is also avaible on some cell phones. Verizon has this as apart of their cell phones which also functions as an mp3 player. I don't have one but maybe they have that function. I know my iPod mini does.

There are quite a few programs that do that. One is Yahoo Widgets. For others go to versiontracker.com and search for "alarm clock."

The 2GB iRiver Clix works as an alarm clock.
It also plays video, has photo viewing, FM radio, FM recording, voice recording, and of course, it's an MP3 player.

It's $200.

No. I really don't know I just wanted to be the first to answer. Lol. But to be honest I don't think that you can do that. You can use your cellphone though.
