Well it depends on what you mean by oldies? Oldies for me is anything before the 70's. To some one else it might be before the 80's. It also depends on what type of music you like.
But some songs you should have on it are
Imagnie by John Lennon
Just about any song off of Beatles 1 album (that is pretty much the Greatest Hits Album)
Piano Man by Billy Joel
More Than A Feelin by Boston
Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple
Don't Stop by Fleetwood Mac
Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd
Horse With No Name by America
Saturday Night by Bay City Rollers
Don't Fear the Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult (BOC)
Dust In the Wind by Kansas
Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd

You should've mentioned as to what YOU consider to be "Oldies", cause a lot of people have their own ideas on that. For instance , "Oldies" to me would be almost anything from the 1930's to the 1950's - maybe some early 60's. But some peoples idea of oldies music would be from 70's and 80's (!!)

Depends on your definition of "oldies." Are we talking 40's, 50's, 60's 70's or 80's? DIRECTV has channels of 24-hr music for each decade. You can most of the popular from there. Also lots of website listings.

Try searching for "top songs of the 60s" or something similar to get a list of popular songs from a certain decade. You'll probably recognize quite a few from just the title, as many are used in commericals, TV, and movies.
