You have to fill out a number porting contract with the new company, it will take a while but the number will be moved to the new phone, providing it is able to be ported, certain numbers are not.
my bad I thought you said transfer a number.
Numbers can be transferred through bluetooth as another user said, but chances are you don't have that. If your phone has a sim card, you can change the sim card over and take the numbers with you, if you don't have a sim card, and no blue tooth, then you will need to program them all in on your own again.

Easy!
copy your numbers on the old phon to the SIM card. Take the SIM out, put it in the new phone and copy them into the phone. Remove the SIM and the numbers are stored in the new phone.

If your phone allows it, save the information to the SIM chip if the new phone is going to use the same chip. Bluetooth, and Infrared are other options if they are available on both phones.

move all contacts to sim card.... put sim in new phone... then transfer numbers from sim to phone... when you put other sim in new phone transfer again to sim... if phones are incompattable with sims... buy a sim card saver device.... which you store the numbers in and they transfer to a different sim card....which you then use in a different compatible phone....

if its same net work you should ave the option in your phone to copy all numbers to sim or vise versa, so if you copy to sim then put the sim in new phone then copy from sim to phone.
