My daughter (14 yr old) is constantly fighting with my sister (22 yr old). I can't determine who starts the fights. They both seem to have mutual feelings of hate. Daughter wants Sister to go away forever. Sister wants daughter locked in her bedroom while shes at my home. I'm being put in a position of chosing one family member over another. Can you give a father any suggestions on how to stop thier fighting? To complicate matters my sister is engaged to my best friend with plans to marry when she returns from her tour in the desert (military deployment in about 2 months).

it is your home...daughter comes first...and she should be respectful to her elders and when sis starts wanting daughter to go to room then sis can go home
both need to be respectful of the other
it does not matter who starts the fights
sis is the oldest and needs to be a better example...she needs to grow up and take responsibility for her behavior

well if they hate each other this much...then pretty much ANYTHING can start a cat fight. i mean anything. who's using the bathroom first, picks out a movie first, who's name has the letter A. o_O

do everything for them. pick out the movie, pretty much take control of their lives until they can grow up and do things themselves w/o killing each other.
