Yes the lyrics might be a little offensive sometimes but the beats are good and it sounds good.

No, because it promotes urban gang warfare and the degradation of women. Because of rap, our society has been pushed back a decade or two. Also, it's unsophisticated "music", if you can even call it that. It's all just beats and you talk about things that are in tempo with it. That's great, an 8-year-old piano player can do that too.

Oh, and look at the answer that's two above this one. Look what rap music did to this poor girl. It made her retarded. Can anybody understand a word she's saying?

I think the lyrics are very inventive, but much of the text is just stupid talk. As for calling it "music," I don;t think you can make a case for it.

Wanna hear REAL rap music? Try listening to 1950s Chuck Berry! Great inventive lyrics; not offensive; and there's a tune.

Rap music has a good back beat to dance to but as far as calling it music? It just isn't music at all. Virtually all of the singers can't play a note on any insturment at all. Most of their singing is just talking.

How can you say rap artists are not musicians.
William Johnathon Drayton Jr. (AKA Flavor Flave) from the rap group Public Enemy is a classically trained pianist and can also play the guitar and drums.
Why don't you research a subject you hate so you can at least sound intelligent explaining why you hate it.

I wouldn't say that I like the music, but I do like the lyrics. They offer an interesting insight into a different way of life.

It is crap. All that they talk about is beating up women, doing drugs, killiing people, killing cops, breaking the law is fun to do, ever other word has to be the F**K word, the only thing that matters is how much bling you have.

The only good music is Rock. They talk about real issiues and things. You can understand it better. They don't care about the bling that rapers do.

I do not allow my kids to listen to rap because all I have heard when I checked it out was violence, foul language, anti-social behavior and pure stupidity. Not saying it all is but that seems to be prevalent. Our kids need positive influences. Rap is not it.

i dont care for rap, and dont think it should be considered music. its more like an odd form of poetry or really creative karyoke, with all the music sampling. calling it music is an insult to real musicians. rappers may be lyricists, but not musicians, thank you...
