Anarchism is not always considered a progressive movement, nor are all anarchist movements progressive. Some anarchist movements simply want to return to a state of natural law and chaos. Other anarchist movements espouse belief in the goodness of the individual and denounce the state as an intolerable evil.
Socialism is maybe one of the most misunderstood words, especially within America. It isn't so much a political system as it is an socio-economic viewpoint. Simply stated, it is the social control of money and property. This can be under a dictatorship or a democratic government, the political system has almost nothing to do with socialism.

Communism is a political ideology, although it includes many elements from socialism. There are also many different types of communism, the common tenants are a classless society, a society without religion and the mass redistribution of wealth based on a moral imperative.

I do know that none of these examples are progressive. History shows exactly the chaotic outcome of these philosophies. Since most political ideologies involve suppression or oppression in one form or another it is difficult to envision the progressive aspect. The Inca, Aztec and Mia cultures might offer some insight into your hypothesis that there may have been progressive politics at some time in history. But for the future FASCISM is as close to progressive as you will ever get.

Socialism and communism are not "progressive" politics. They are forms of government that do not work. Socialism and communism are euphemisms for totalitarian governments. They usurp the God-given rights of the governed.
Anarchism is not "progressive" anything. It is the lack of government. No country could function without government. Somalia is the closest example to anarchism, in the world, right now. It is inconceivable to me that anyone would see a benefit to anarchy.

Socialism is thoroughly nicely ideal with Christianity even as Communism isn't. Communism is a type of dictatorship. It suppresses freedom. The state owns you and decide what you eat, what you gown. easily not a Christian way. the acceptable equipment is social democracy. yet i believe that type of equipment is a utopia. In a social democracy, all of us is meant to choose to stay in a community of sharing and help to achieve equality truly than guard a equipment of competition.
