I've been using quite a few different products and no matter what I do, there is always that subtle(sometimes not too subtle) fake bake smell. Does anyone know of a product that works well and have no stinky scent?

i appreciate all your answers, they are very helpful. but to those who assume i that my skin is too fair to tan(WRONG?!?) obviously, self-tanners are healthier than the actual sun or tanning beds....for awhile i used the tanning bed a lot(i'm 24 by the way)...needless to say i was stunned when a skin tumor developed on my arm(which was painfully removed). therefore, i am doing everything i can to keep my skin and health safe:)

Companies that make Self-Tanners do not add that fragrance to their product, so a fragrance free product wouldn't get rid of that smell. The smell is the chemical reaction of the DHA and your skin cells. You can't have a self-tanner without this ingredient. The best way to overcome the fragrance is to use a product with less DHA - the new gradual tan items have less so therefore you have less smell. I personally like the L'Oreal Sublime Glow as it's not tested on animals, gives a great sparkly effect, and you can use it every day to add just a hint of color. Like you were kissed by the sun.

Your other option would be to use a product with *more* scent. Garden Botanika's Sweet Retreat smells wonderful and that smell tends to mask the DHA smell a little bit. You have to be sure to exfoliate well and use this product sparingly. A little goes a long way.

Finally, you could simply use a bronzer. DuWop has one called Revolotion that adds gorgeous colour to the skin. Be careful as the colour can slightly transfer to light clothes.

I am not saying anything bad but why would you want anything that is going to change the color of your skin which is a part of me. If you can't get tan naturally, then maybe your supposed to have pretty, fair skin. (Although I have nice tan skin but it's not super dark) But if you insist, lancome or almay

Have you tried airbrush tanning? Aviva Labs has a good airbrush tanning solution that is fragrant-free and allergy-free.
