You can't keep her from attempting to copy your habits but that doesn't make her you. What you have to do is know within yourself that no matter how hard she tries to copy you, she can never be you and will never be original in her life the way you are.

Oh, I have a 42 yr. old sister and when we use to hang out a lot we would dress up alike. Plus I have a 46 yr. old sister to that when we lived close to each other all I wanted to do was be like her except the drugs.
You should be happy but if it really does bug you just tell her (poor Eeyore) she might get her feelings hurt and start world war three but she'll get over it. But if she does not talk to you just remember it's your fault. (Just joking but that's what I would say - hey us little sisters are brats and we know it we just don't like to admit it.)

You should see it in positive way. I pray for my brother to buy his first Zegna suit, he's dresst up like an retarded boy. I'm 27 and he's 33 y old. He got numbers on his shirts 68 20 or 70, i'm asking him: is this your IQ or how many times you fall from the cradle?
I guess your sister likes you very much...

1. Imitation is the best form of flattery.
2. When she sees that you are together, things will fall into place.
3. You are 42. Put on your big girl panties and keep going (for YOURSELF!).

It just sounds like she really admires you. Maybe you could go shopping with her and buy 1 look-a-like outfit to wear out to a restaurant. Have a girls day out with her. Maybe you are a healthier eater then she and she likes how it looks on you. I think you should take it as a compliment. You could also compliment her when she does do something different then you.

Wow. If she's copying you at 35, she will probably never have her own personality. At that age personality should be well established!

At one time imitation was the sincerest form of flattery, instead of resenting her admiration for you, why don't you help her develope her own style.
Sisters are forever.

hmmm.... it's so complicated. There is no law state that she cannot copy your style of life. Hence, you feel iritated. Let's just pretend that you are her model and she's one of your fans. Be generous can mean good for you coz at least it's positve idea to let you happy.
