Stop voting Republican AND Democrat. The two big parties are entrenched in office because we voters (well, MOST of the OTHERS) *foolishly* think voting third party/independent is a "waste of a vote."
Get the Republicans AND the Democrats out of ALL offices, and the SIG's won't know who to lobby for support.

Regulate lobbying activities.
Prevent politicians from accepting gifts, campaign donations or anything else from any organizations, corporations and unions.
Politicians being forced to adhere to a strict code of ethics.
I don't know if it will be possible because the types of people who run for politics leaves everything to be desired.

I think snoweagle is right ... if you make contributions to political parties or candidates illegal, you're on the road to solving a lot of problems ... those who want to contribute to the political process could pay into a common fund, which is then distributed equally between the parties ... as long as anyone can "pay for a politician", you will always have corruption ...

I agree with jdc6733. But I think any politicians who aren't serving the people (damn you Jon Corzine) or who are corrupt should be taken from their mansion by a mob, brought to a public place, and spanked shitless with a bamboo paddle. If they repeat the offense, a life of exile on a small island with cannabalistic and sexually repressed natives. Trust me, you would NEVER have problems with politicnas again.

Public funding for election campaigns. Equal time on tv,radio and in print for positions to be explained.
If you get the neccesary signatures,you automatically get funded.
Strict non-negoitable term limits. Stop politicians from getting life time appointments.

Eliminate all gifts, trips, meals etc. For those caught life in prison.
Better yet do it the Chineese way: a bullet to the back of the head and make the family pay for the bullet.
Politicians must be stopped.
