Well inth efuture it will help if you keep putting something like neosporin or mederma on it...but since it is a month old already you may want to invest in higher priced scar treatment.... alsop avoid sunlight it makes scars darker./

If the cut is healed, but the scar is still a little red, that is normal. You can get a Vitamin E gel cap, poke a hole in it with a pin, and rub the E oil on the scar. Do this once or twice a day for a month or so, and it should minimize the scarring.

A month ago? Wow. I'd clean the cut really good with peroxide, then put a triple antibiotic on it and cover it. Clean it every day, and change the bandage. We just had to put one of our residents in the hospital for a cut on his leg that wouldn't heal, and the doctor said it was a deep infection. If it's not trying to heal in a week or so, you really need to consult a doctor.

Slow healing is sometimes a sign of diabetes. check it out and go to a doctor if it doesn't heal soon. It could be other things as well.

cocoa butter, neosporin, aloe out of the bottle, aloe plant, go to your doctor. There is this microfiber cloth on ebay, it's like $10.00 that's suppose to work good. It's for scars, acne, and such. Good luck!
