What would you do if 1/3 of every surgery resulted in death?
What would you do if 1/3 of the food you bought had to be thrown away?
What would you do if 1/3 of the day your lights would not come on or your water would not flow?
What if 1/3 of the gasoline you paid for just evaporated as you pumped it into your car?
What if 1/3 of all convicted murderers were put to death?
God forbid, what if 1/3 of your bottles of wine had to be thrown away?
So here's the MAIN QUESTION (since you mentally challenged retards always like to ask "so, what's the question?"):
How is it that you can be so cavalier, cruel, and flippant about the fact that we currently abort over 1/3 of all babies each year and just write it off as "it's like, it's a woman's choice, you know"?

So per your logic, you would also be gone if Yahoo also did us a favor and deleted 1/3 of all retarded answers. Whoops, while I typed that, another baby aborted.

Since 1/3 is an outrageously inflated figure your entire premise and resulting questions are moot.
In 1990 we reached a high in this nation of 1.4 million abortions for the year. That is 3.44% of total pregnancies in that year.
By year 2000, abortions had decreased to 850,000, or 2.46% of all pregnancies.
Now, no matter how you spin it, you cannot come up with a figure of 33%!!!
So you sir, are a liar and are doing nothing more than baiting. My suggestion is to get a life. People like you make conservatives like me, who are trying to stop abortion from an honest point of view, want to throw up.

Hey I'm a liberal and rarely throw anything away. I recycle.
As for that stupid abortion argument why not kill all the Baby's"
For a start the Bible says the still born Baby (aborted) is the most fortunate of all. The child goes to Heaven without ever seeing the light of day.
So of the living Jesus said Broad is the path to destruction and many there is that go in. but narrow is the path to heaven.
That means very few of the babies that are not aborted go to heaven in fact most go to hell. But all that are aborted go to heaven.
So is abortion a good thing or a bad thing? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved and thy house. Say a bad person like Condelesa Rice has an abortion. Her dead baby goes to heaven and intercedes for the evil mother and God sends his spirit to quicken the bad mom and she ends up excepting Christ. Where if she had not aborted the child both the mom and the baby would most likely go to hell.
The real problem is not the aborted baby it is the murder committed by all involved with the crime. Once you have murdered curses befall you and everything you do becomes corrupted.
Many women use abortion as family planning. Would you want your children living with a murderer? We publish sex offenders names. I think we should publish murderers names.

Haha, 1/3 of all babies, where are your numbers coming from. And I would rather have it aborted than infanticide commited, or the baby drowned, or worse, have it grow up in a bad family, join a gang, and contribute to the crime problem. But yes, abortion is not the simple answer to pregnancy, I do think it is taken too flippantly.
Flaming liberals is not going to help you get nice answers by the way.
Instead of crying about abortion, why don't you allow contraception to be avalible, so we don't have abortions.
Why don't you allow the morning after pill to be easy to get...so we don't have abortions
Why don't you teach something more realistic than abstinence in schools, to prevent it getting that far...
Because, like a lawyer, you don't want to settle the case you have been living off of for the last 40 years...
BTW, I don't support abortion, I am much more in favor of a child in a nice orpahnage, but abortion is superior to abusive parents and eventual falling into drugs and crime...

The legality of abortion is not what should be debated. Obviously we have to have a fundamental change in society to reduce the number of abortions in this country. Those babies will probably be aborted anyway if it was illegal.
No, we need to change. We need to understand why so many girls feel they need to get an abortion. Most likely they are scared, but why?
Did the baby's father leave them high and dry?
Do they not feel they won't be able to raise it properly given the state of their economic conditions?
Are they young, scared and embarrased that their parents will find out and kick them out of the house?
How many high school girls do you think there are out there who believe that they will lose their "cool" status if everyone finds out their pregnant? I would bet quite a few.
The list goes on and on.
Why aren't these the things that are being debated? It is a serious matter and we need to get down to the bottom of it. Throwing empty slogans at each other will not solve a damn thing.

People have abortions in instances where they can't afford to give the baby a good life, or their bodies cannot handle childbirth.
Besides, if you really think about it, having an abortion is sort of similar to menstruation. The only diffference is that the egg is fertilised. So, while your boycotting abortions, you can also boycott periods, and while you're at it throw in safe sex as well. "Why did you use a condom!!! If fertilised, that baby could have lived a full, unpleasent life, but you had to kill the innocent egg and use a condom! You murderer!!!"

I am assuming you are or your best friend is a dead beat dad, who felt it just wasn't your problem. Besides she asked for it, right? Wow has it really been ten years? Well maybe I'll get the kid a card, put a twenty in it and be done for this year. The fact is it is a woman's decision, because 95 percent of the time, they are the only parent who cares enough to be more than a sperm donor. So get off you soap box and buy a snake, easy to care for, no real love required.

If you are really trying to save babies, you are doing a shabby job. Posting a bunch of questions that attack the beliefs of liberals and insult them in the process isn't going to change anyone's minds. You are not trying to save babies in this forum; be honest ... you are attempting to start written fights and provide yourself with opportunities to rant about how much you hate liberals, which helps no one ... but likely amuses you. You are not doing anything to help your agenda. No person who is pro-choice is going to look at your questions and statements and go, "Wow, this person really makes sense. I've changed my mind!" The only people who are responding positively to your questions are people who already agree with you. So, if you sincerely want to convince people that abortion is wrong, why don't you use your time a little more wisely and actually start doing something constructive to further your cause?

While I understand your passion on the subject I think your anger is directed at the wrong group. Its like blaming guns for murder or blaming cars for car wrecks. It is each individuals choice ( right now ) to have an abortion. So really its not ' liberals ' fault its the Americans peoples fault since we are the ones doing it. Why not blame the people that actually CHOOSE to get one? Women is th majority. Its AMERICAN WOMEN that abort all those babies, and its AMERICAN PEOPLE that let it happen. So if your AMERICAN you share just as much blame as anyone else for letting it happen.

To turn the tables, could you handle an tax in crease of 1/3 to care for all these unwanted children who will end up with low income parents being supported by the state, or even wards of the state. They will need to be educated, housed and fed all at the taxpayers expense. I

First, let's just address the fact that you are comparing food and gasoline to babies: Your rambling diatribe makes zero sense.
Second: If you think the only people who avail themselves of the abortion option are "liberal" you are just about as ignorant as you project yourself to be with your rambling. If 50% of the populace claims to be "pro-life" but 80% of babies born with Down Syndrome are aborted, then a whole lot of prolifers are big fat hypocrites.
Fourth: I dare you to hurl your insults at a couple whose planned for and very much wanted baby has been diagnosed with a fatal defect.
In closing I would just like to say that when you use horribly insensitive insults like "mentally challenged retards" you (a) reveal your hatred and ignorance, and (b) make it impossible for civilized adults to want to have a conversation with you.
Let me reword that since clearly YOU lack the intelligence to understand. That particular use of words is horribly offensive to every parent of a child with Down Syndrome or any other cognitive delay, be they liberal, conservative or anywhere in between.
Signed,
Liberal mom who chose life for her child born with Down Syndrome.
