I have to agree with the second. Palestinians didn't even care about Jerusalem until Jews decided to set up shop there. And there will be no hope for reconciliation until the Palestinians decided that they love peace more than they hate Jews.

Not much, the situation must defuse itself. Eventually, if a conflict can avoid being turned into a feud, it will settle itself. But if a feud occur (I blow up an Israeli bus because a missile strike killed my family because my father blew up antoher bus because a missile killed his brother...) it will never end. The newest offensive is pushing the conflict toward feud status.

Alternatively, one side could wipe out the other, but that would have many consequences and a very high death toll.

The problem is You did not kill all the Philistines when Moses led you to the promised land.

G-d clearly said kill all these people or they will come back to smite you.

So it took a while but ouch. Now what do you do. There is only one recourse. Adopt those that will except G-d's law and vanquish the rest.

Jerusalem the city of gold!

Yerushalaim shel zahav!

The best we can do right now, Netta, is try to have shalom amongst ourselves. Only as a united front can we even try to fix the nation's problems.

See you around,
Yehudit.
