I don't know how to get to that for sure, but I do know where to start. Start by attaining inner peace, be able to sit with yourself and like the company you're with, know who you are your rue likes and dislikes. Once you're okay, completly, with yourself everything else just floats behind.

Silly question. The notion of eternal is meaningless in a universe goverened by the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics. Things change. Accepting this fact and learning to take joy in change is the first step toward learning to be at peace.

Most of your answers are metaphysical in nature. Here's a basic recipe for learning to feel at peace:

1. Be optimistic, but pragmatic.
2. Notice the things that make you feel good. You might even want to go so far as writing them down as part of your self reflection every day.
3. Be good to others. Try to earn smiles. Say, "Thank you." Open doors for others. Do what you can to help.
4. Take care of yourself. Exercise. Eat foods that help you feel good.
5. Meditate everyday. By meditate, I don't mean think about nothing. Mediatation is about thinking about things until you notice them again.
6. Attend to the moment.

You're gonna have to die on earth to attain eternal peace whether it be in Heaven or at rest (whichever your faith allows) because God said we would always have wars.

I agree with Nomar....but as far as peace while here on Earth..that is just a state of mind. One I am not sure all of us are capable of acheiving. To do that we must must reach a feeling of satisfaction with our selves and our life. Be comfortable"in our own skin", understand that the things we stress over the most today are not even a blip on the radar screen of life and that a 100 yrs. from now, it won't matter.

By dying. It's the only way.

Wrong about Jesus. Believing in him does not give "eternal peace" while yu are still on the planet!

And you can only do that if you live well.
