it seems like a good computer and it was fully inspected and has a good memory. but i would get a mouse. but it is really old and it shouldn't be this high. it should be around $45-$50.

For a search to work on EBay the number would need to be in the Description Field. Most Products on EBay are listed buy name. Example of Computer is; Dell Laptop 400 MHz 512 K Ram 40 GB Hard Drive and Accessories.

It will be pretty slow by today's standards at P3 450Mhz but very affordable... The USB prot is probably an older version (1.1) and might not work well (or at all) with newer devices (cameras, etc). It is also an older Op System (Win2000) but that's what I run. If you are looking strictly for documents, pictures, etc for school and surfing the web then it might work. This will NOT work for any newer games as it won't have the power (speed) or graphics capabilities.

I'd look at Dell Outlet for a newer (than the one on eBay) refurbished one that will last longer (but also cost more) and will have some form of warranty.

I'd shoot for at least a 1400Mhz and 256mb RAM laptop. At the very least. The one you're looking at is pretty old. I guess it would serve it's purpose, but not really anything else and not very well.

It looks fine to me. The trackpad's small size might be an issue, so I would get a mouse.

Price is good since it is outdated...low memory and slow, but good for a starter.
