Wimbledon is on and I'm bored rigid. I'm asking is there an end in sight and no one here will tell me. I dont know the rules. Is it like the best of 18 or something like that or can these guys go on forever? PLEASE tell me!

All wise guys on this site! Or maybe not. when you live in a house with people you have to compromise about what is being viewed. I am busy with chores so I can't go out just yet. If I change the channel you'll find me hanging from a tree. Repeat, hey, its ok! Its over! Federa won!

No, there is no limit to the length of a match.
You must win a set with 6 games or lead of two. So if at 5-5 you win the game (6-5), the set is not yours. you have to win 7-5, or if I win, then it goes to tie-break at 6-6. I guess, you meant best of 18 in tie-break, right. Well, there's no best of 18. You have to win it with 7 points and lead of two. (eg: 7-5, 9-7, etc.)
If you lead 6-5. I get a point making it 6-6 and you get a point (7-6), you don't win. You must win 8-6 or so on. The longest Grand Slam tie-breaker, was 97-95. US Open, Wimbledon, French Open, Aus Open are grand slams.
The longest tie-breaker was 103-101. Oops, really long, eh!

I don't think that there is any kind of limit. They just keep playing until one of the two wins by two points. There have been some super long matches and very long games in history.

it is the best of 5 sets. (basically first to 3 sets). A set consists of 6 games. But there is no time limit. Like Yogi Berra once said, it ain't over till it's over

It is the first to 6. But you have to win by 2, so it could keep going forever.

One accidental flip of a channel is too long for me.

Just change the channel. If you can't find anything on, hop on your bike and go out for a ride.
