He's the best one so far! He captures how wretched, unstable and erratic wayne is, which is what i love about him. christian Bale was good but maybe a bit too clean-cut?

Micheal Keaton was simply brilliant as both Bruce Wayne and batman, because he got it, his batman was a man on the edge and not afraid to show it, whereas his Bruce Wayne was mentally unstable but only occasionally came to the surface ' You wanna get nuts c'mon-lets get nuts' and to those few who didn't like him you've got to bear in mind that every actor since has done Keaton's batman, right down to his voice. whether you loved him or hated him as Bruce Wayne / batman he set the benchmark for what we expect.

When ever i hear Michael Keaton speak i know think of Batman. I believe Joker was the best baddy too. And Burtons Batmans were the best. To me the 1st film was the best and the Special Effects still look good today and Prince provided a Great soundtrack.
Christian Bale is very young looking to me and I always imagines Batman as more mature like Keaton

he's only the 2nd best Batman. "Batman Begins" finally brought some dignity back to the dark knight. And yes Christian Bale is young, but hello this movie was supposed to be the beginning of the Batman saga, hence the word "begins". Christian Bale did an amazing job of capturing the tortured soul of Bruce Wayne and the awesome power of Batman. I can't wait for the next movie...

He kick ***! He played the part of Bruce Wayne. I do like the Christian Bale dude but not as much as Michael Keaton. Christian Bale gave the character a more smoother young look though.

Michael Keaton an excellent Batman. A very dark, unbalanced and cruel vigilante. Who will use any means to get the job done. He certainly captured the dark side.
If people get the chance, check out Batman & Batman Returns special editions. They've got some great extras on them.

THE BEST. He was the best and he was in the best two Batman movies. Batman Returns is the best Batman movie ever in my opinion, it shows how he was trying to juggle being himself and having a life and a family, while trying to be Batman. He looked great in the suit too. Plus he managed to show the soul of Batman, with those sad lingering lost looks. Of course Catwoman was wicked in it (my main reason). I liked the way he wanted to be with her - well at least they're together in the comic. Plus Tim Burton movies are the best, they're so dark and atmospheric. Batman Begins wasn't comic bookie enough. Bale was good at being aggressive but not as being Bruce, Keaton still rules!

Micahel Keaton was the best Bruce Wayne---EXCELLENT. He wasn't however a very good Batman, but it wasn't his fault. The rubber suit was too big for him. It didn't fit properly, especially the mask. When he was in the Batcave with Vicky Vale, and he had on that black turtle neck....now that fit him. He looked great in that turtle neck...put a bat on that and you've got it! He needed a skin tight cloth suit like Adam West wore, but black like his rubber suit. If he had a cloth, skin tight suit..he also would have been an excellent Batman. That oversized rubber suit did him in, but he was the BEST Bruce Wayne.

I didn't like michael keaton too much as bruce wayne. christian bale was ok but Batman Returns was a dissapointment. I hope they NEVER make george clooney batman again. personally I liked val kilmer as bruce wayne. his square jaw-line just fits perfectly with the mask.

I even might want to disagree... and cite Nolan's action pictures because the extra useful tandem... even as we are able to not ignore Burton's imaginative pressure, and premiere the way for the shape... i imagine he as a lot as something become making a "Tim Burton movie" moreso than he become making a "Batman movie" Nicholson is an concepts-blowing actor and his artwork because the Joker become staggering... yet Burton tried to problematic to 'stability' his tale tweaking the mythos to make a pre- scared Joker the 'thug' who killed the Waynes and in BR he became Penguin right into a mutant -- shall we not ignore that till it become actual released there turned right into a much better out cry from followers (and this become pre-information superhighway) about Keaton as Wayne then there become about Ledger as Joker in TDK also almost as good as Burton's artwork become, you won't be able to deny that the stylistic seem of his action pictures become what made the camp of Schumacher's action pictures achievable -- had he not finished his "grim and gritty' the way he did it, it would have taken extra artwork to finally end up with Bat-Nipples (on Ice) this may be extra the end results of the fashionable era of the movie market: yet Nolan has stated that his imaginative and prescient for Batman has fantastically a lot continually been as a trilogy (even if he did not understand he'd take delivery of all 3 action pictures, or that the followers would want them, yet he had the idea) so even as DKR for further acceptable or worse hits theaters that is the full of his 'imaginative and prescient' even if yet another actor matches up and/or yet another director takes the helm, this financial disaster of Batman is closed-- in the adventure that they preserve on with his lead that is upto them, yet he will have provided a sparkling contained arc. with Burton and Schumacher each and each and every movie become self contained, making the later action pictures sense like "Batman X: the hunt for additional money." or maybe as all of us do not ignore that to be authentic of any sequel and or promotion tie in movie -- it doesn't sense almost as compelled with the Nolan action pictures
