i'm sorry for you got the same experience a few days ago.
The only thing you do not have to do is to let them know you have been hurt. You know who you are and what you are worth, let them think what they want...they are not worth of it ...Such ...holes... will never be people interesting to meet they do not have education or even self-esteem. Those people never gonna met real friends they are bodies without a soul or a heart...i'm sure people around them know who they are and that noone can really relie on them...
so the only positive result of this is, that you 'll probably will met other people more interesting and true friends who knows.
so be selfconfident
go on ...
kisses

You poor thing - I have experienced the same sort of thing. And it's like out of the blue, too! You think, this will be a fun question, I wonder what people will think and they let loose a tirade like you are the biggest, meanest, idiot on the planet.
We all need to try and perceive the speaker (any speaker) in the best possible light. We need to error on the side of kindness.
Take heart. People seem to be respecting when we write "no sarcastic answers please". I guess the bottom line it is hard for others to really get the feel of what we are saying, just by reading our words. If we say "I am not preaching I am asking for opinions" or "I really need help" then we make it more clear to the reader that we are genuine.
Peace!

I agree with you. I will give you a good example of how the same thing happened to me the other day. My car was taking up 3 spaces in a parking lot. The reason it was was b/c it had a dead battery and someone had pushed it out of the middle of the road, and that was where it ended up resting--in the middle of 3 spaces.
Well, someone thought I parked that way on purpose, and while I was elsewhere waiting for a tow truck, they apparently thought it would be funny to leave a note under my windshield wiper saying "Your not all that."
Really not what I wanted to see after being stranded for hours with spoiling groceries. People are just cruel in this world. But God sees everything, good and bad, and will deal with such people as He sees fit. That's how I think about it, you know?

It's usually done to try to overcome their feelings of inadequacy. I'm entertained by the "political ranters" who personally attack those who have different viewpoints.
Your going to run into these types of people for the rest of your life, the secret to success is to learn to avoid them and keep a safe distance away from them.
I moved to California about twenty years ago and found the majority of people to be whiny, rude and dishonest. I think if you were to translate the origin of the word California, it would be "if it ain't tied down, steal it" or "count your fingers after shaking hands".
Many of the locals like to bash people in an effort to make themselves feel superior (this is an issue out here). I've made a strict rule, no friends, do my job untill I get enough cash to retire and the boogey back to Missourri, a wealthy man..... heck, it could happen.

Who cares what they think, no one knows you. I am not sure why people feel the need to say the things they do, but it is not worth getting upset over. I too have deleted a question a time or two because of the stupid responses. These people think they are being cute and funny, but what they are really doing is making themselves look like jerks..

I think people are less afraid of being mean on the Internet because it's so anonymous. They can let out those emotions that in ordinary life perhaps they wouldn't dream of saying those things face-to-face.
You can't take it personally, because they don't even know you.

why do you care what other people think about you? be confident in who you are. the only peoples opinion that should count are your friends, and if they are bashing you in a hurtful manner then they are not your friend.

people bash because of numerous reasons from being just a twit who likes to give people hard times to inferiority complexes, to close minded viewpoints ... don't let it get to you just realize that they took time out of their lives to give you grief you obviously affected their lives enough to make them be idiots
