this is a sales tactic to get you to list your home with the company offering this. many companies offer to buy your home after 90 days if not sold, however, it will most likely be for a price under market value. basically, you think this sounds like a good idea, so you take your business to (Example only--many places do this) Century 21. After you list your home with them, if it doesn't sell in 90 days, they offer to buy it from you for well under market value. If you say no, you will most likely extend your listing agreement with them, allowing them to market it for a longer amount of time.
I've never heard of anyone actually selling their home to the company after 90 days, because apparently it's not worth it. However, that's not to say that some people dont.
trust me, they tell you this to get you to their office so they can list your home for sale.if you're looking to sell, just find a reputable realtor and list it with them, and don't worry too much about the "if it doesn't sell in 90 days WE WILL BUY IT" deal.
good luck with your sale! i hope this helps!
