You are a stereotypical... Well, I can't swear here... I'm a redneck, my Dad is a redneck, my uncle is a redneck, most of my families friends are rednecks.
We hunt, we go four-wheeling, we shoot at old junk cars for fun. BIG DEAL! We also respect nature more than most other people around. We have had parts of our back yard logged so we could allow newer, less diseased trees to grow. A day with me in my back yard (11 acres of woods) is a day spent with me on a boulder reading a good philosophy book.
Rednecks are not all stupid. Rednecks are not all violent. Rednecks are not all dirty, hairy, gap-toothed scum bags. I'm a redneck and I plan on becoming either a Civil or Environmental engineer (okay, maybe a baker, I'm not sure). I'm a redneck and at 17, I have yet to fight anyone although I have been provoked countless times. I'm a redneck and I shower two, maybe three times a day, not because my ancestry makes me smell, but because I dislike being dirty for long. I'm a redneck and I have perfect teeth.
Saying rednecks are a social disease and should "cured" is like saying all dogs should die because they sometimes pee on the carpet, or all deer should die because they dent your car when you hit them at fifty miles an hour.

Cure is understanding..the schools have a course in environmental awareness and global geo-politics in stead of all the BS they teach.
Govenrment should aggressively reward conservation and tax consumption.
e.g. If car taxes were sticker price devided by average mpg certified by EPA annually, H2 owners will pay $550.. annually and Honda Civic Owners wil pay $450 annually. Govenement should make it mendator for cities morethan 250,000 to have public train ssystem and all cities to have bus services to cities within 25 miles twice a day at least.

Rednecks take care of the environment. We enjoy hunting and fishing, if there are no lakes or forrest there is no outdoors. I would say more animals are needlessly killed by stupid enviromentalist wacco's that would rather see a deer starve to death than be on some ones table.

There will be no cure as long as humans refer to each other as "redneck", "N-----" or any other group-hate term. Until you see the worth of each human being as an individual, YOU'RE the disease as much as the people to whom you feel so superior.
