I've been thinking about going on the pill for awhile, any recommendations? I just want it to regulate my period and help with the monthly acne flare-ups. I'm also looking for something with a low chance of gaining weight.... I've heard the low dose kind are pretty good??

Ortho-Tri-cyclen is a good bcp for fighting moderate acne, and I personally never gained any weight while on it. It does come in a low dose, but I got pregnant on the low dose one, so I would stick to the regular dose.

I'm on Ortho tri cyclin Lo (i guess this what what you had in mind by low dose). Minimal hormones. I never experianced any weight gain or any side effect. It does help acne, and it is sooooo wonderful to be able to know when to expect your period!

I have heard the lose dose kind are good also. But be sure to use other means of birth control until you are regulated on them. My cousin was on them and had twins.

Talk to your doctor, not people here! Nobody here knows your medical history and not even a doctor can give advice here without examining you and talking to you.
