Yes, one has nothing to do with the other. My daughter lives in NC and gets her support through NY where her husband lives. Divorce is still pending.

As long as you are the primary caregiver of the child and the other parent does not live with you......you can and should receive child support.

you don't have to be divorced . . if you are not living with the other party, go to the courthouse and file for support

yes go to your family for children cabinet in your town an they will give you an attorney to help you get the money for your child through the other partners job through payroll,an you wont have to be bothered with him to get your money ..you will get a ck. every week from them,he is to pay them an they pay you its great when you dont want to have any contact with the other.
