Inbound calls are calls coming in, while outbound are calls going out. An outbound call center agent is just another name for telemarketer. Their job is to contact potential customers in an effort to make a sale. For each sale they make, they earn a commission.

The make calls to potential and current customers. Usually outbound campaigns are linked to telemarketers, but they can include collection calls as well.

Just a fancy term for a telemarketer....And as opposed to taking incoming calls(inbound call center) agent, you would be making outgoing calls.
And if you want to know, personally I think it's better to be in inbound as opposed to outbound.
Hesh.
