One philosophical tool that helps decide where the positive and the negative meet is Aristotle's Golden Mean. It states that many things in your life can be put on a continuum and that on either end of this continuum is a negative outcome. However, somewhere in the middle, you will find a positive outcome. An electromagnetic field is created when a negatively-charged particle faces a positive one. That field creates balance and the two particles seem stable each in its place opposite the other. A membrane is formed and the two particles reside inside the cell each in its orbit.
