I mean - over 28,000 answers for Bono - who in the heck is going to read them, and so it defeats the purpose of the question.

I do not believe in elevating people to "celebrity" status. Bono, like any other "celebrity" is just another human being. He is no better or worse than any one of us. As a person, if one of us met him, we might find he is charming, or a jerk. Who knows? Why make "celebrities" in the first place. Or, treat EVERYONE you know as a "celebrity"!
I would only answer a question if it interested me. And yours did, so you are as much a "celebrity" as Bono.

I understand the part about the number of responses. Unless Bono has absolutely nothing better to do, he and his staff will not likely read all the answers. The answers will probably keep coming until the answering period is over, and there will be no legitimate way to pick a "best," even if he votes on one himself.

I felt somewhat fortunate to be answerer 111 for Stephen Hawking's question. The only way to get any real notice with the "celebrity" questions is to be lucky enough to answer as soon as it's posted. But there's no way to anticipate when that is.

No I would not answer a question just because it was written by a celebrity. It would have to be a celebrity that I respect and on a topic I am interested in. They also must read the answer themselves.

Righto - I agree

Bono is just a jerk that cuts down the U.S.A. every chance he gets.

He does allot of good but poverty is a huge task to that will never be alleviated - he just as well should have asked - "how to rid the planet of cockroaches".

And then if you seek real knowledge like this you get some stupid answer:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AnajvZH820pQ2JYTEARVlFnsy6IX?qid=20060706143036AABIgYq

I think that celebrities and politicians should do some answering of there own.

There questions are so open ended that leads to no firm resolution.

Large tasks should be broken down to a lot of smaller tasks that how you resolve things!!!!!!!!!!

It's stupid to leave a question up there to get so many responses - If it was more interactive, say to gather info and to assume certain things then reformulate your question to actually get somewhere would be better.

I would not even began to tell you how thwarted some of these questions are because what would be the point in asking? As to the poverty question...God said we will always have the poor among us. So why answer the question? The answer is in the scriptures. They just need to open the book and read it

No, I answered them becuase they interested me, they were featured questions on the top of the screen, and were part of the daily "Ask the Planet" promotion that could win me a car or gasoline, or some such nonsense.

I answered this didn't I? Or are you a celebrity and I didn't know that?

I agree. I only answer if i think i have some input that may be constructive. In the case of celebrities, people would just answer for a little "touch" of glamour so to speak.

If I knew a good answer I would. I know the odds of my answer getting read are slim to none but also I look at it as an easy 2 points!

No a celebrity question is like anyone else's if its really not worth answering or if I feel I can't answer it with the best of my ability then definitely not.

If I could answer a question asked by a celebrity, I would. They are human beings like all the rest of us. There are no stupid or unworthy questions, but occasionally there are some REALLY stupid answers by uninformed, uneducated, or uncaring individuals. Please use some thought before answering. People deserve legitimate answers.
