I am trying to find full sized fiberglass saddlebags for my new bike and not having any luck. I need to know everything about the mounting brackets etc. and where to buy some reasonably priced bags. Any help is much appreciated!

You may find a bike that has the outside dimensions and overall look of a Harley, but the only thing that is like a Wide Glide is a Wide Glide. You are talking about a rubber-mounted bike with the po-ta-to, po-ta-to thrum that is never duplicated. If you liked the Wide Glide, find a used one. You'll spend about half as much money, and someone else will have probably already done some customizing, like replacing the factory pipes with something with more power and more sound. This is not an anti- metric message. Yes, I love my Softail, but there are great metrics out there for less money. They just aren't Harleys.

I've never seen fiberglassed bags on a dyna, but I suppose somebody probably makes something. Check with the aftermarket companies, or the harley catalogs.

I dont know why you'd want to screw up the looks of a dyna by putting hard bags on it, though. You might as well trade it for a roadking.

Try ebay. I got a pair of leather saddle bags 1/2 the price than a Harley Dealer. Or do a search on the web. lots of sites sell for good prices.

For the wise shopper you can get lucky and for the Mr. Big Spender you buy the Diamond for the Bike....it's worth every penny of it.
