basics: light heats objects, light travels (refelecting until absorbed(plants r 1 case )), light can pass through atoms( way smaller and faster than electrons) heat can bend light, some colors absorb heat from light better than others.

Photons don't "cool down"; an individual photon keeps the same energy. Cosmological red-shifting might be thought of as an exception, but that's a case of space-time itself changing.

A photon interacts with an atom by being absorbed by an electron. In reflection or transmission of light the photon is re-emitted whole, with the same energy. In absorption of light, the photon's energy is lost by the electron in a series of smaller steps, and passed around to surrounding electrons. At the surface of the material, these low-energy emissions show up as radiant heat.

When a photon (light particle) collides with an atom it can be absorbed by the atom. Since momentum must be conserved in this collision the atom will slow down, this is a good way to produce ultra-cold atoms.

A photon doesn't cool down. It travels at a constant speed if it has no other other photons or atoms to collide with. What many atoms?.

Light doesnt cool or slow down, but it may be diffused by an object in the way.

light particles under go elastic collisions so there may be no reduction in the energy possesed by it so it doesnot cools down.even then it doesnot contain atoms as they are bigger than it
