If you want a religous nut it's a good place. You could do better at places like laudrymats, food stores, parks, and other places that lots of people go to.

Church does not always = good & wholesome. But it's a really good start as the law of averages would be in your favor. The non-demonitional 'super Churches' seem to have more active singles groups.

You may also want to try to find an organized group (sport or other activity you enjoy) and join. At least you will have a common interest with the men you meet from the beginning.

Just a word of advice, don't go in with the attitude that you are looking for "the one to settle down with." I think you set yourself up for potential failure/disappointment. Just finding someone you get along with is hard enough. Looking for 'the one' every time is impossible. You'll know when it's the right person. Don't settle for less! Good luck!

OH MY LORD, Girl !!! You're wanting to meet a man at church who doesn't believe you are a sinner?? You are setting yourself up for a big disappointment.

Try a singles group outside of the church. You'll meet a wide variety of people. Volunteer work for a fair or community organization will put you in contact with wholesome people. Then, you meet them and "network"...so and so, might know another person who has a friend and so on....don't limit your new friends to just single men. Dance class is a good place. Anything to do with teams..bowling or darts. Now if you are a Holy Roller...go to church...but go to a BIG one with alot of activities for singles. Good Luck.

you know maybe it was meant for me to see this question because just last night i was wondering the same thing, where are all the good men at? i am far from a saint and i am not looking for a saint, just a good decent hard working man who will get on the same road as me which will hopefully be headed for success, and then it came to me....why not the church socials? i admit i dont go to chucrh, the idea of getting up early on sunday and sitting there for a few hours hearing someone tell me i am going to hell if i dont repent isnt appealling to me, i love the lord but i just am not the kind for church pews...so how do i meat a good man? well maybe just maybe there is a man out there who also loves the lord but doesnt do the church thing on a weekly basis so i came up with the church socials, like the bbqs, or fund raisers, another place is the local library...cant be too many duds there right? anyhow when you find a good man, ask him if he has a brother....smile....and have a good one...

The church is a good place if you want a man grounded in that particular religion. There are many "good men" but finding the man that's compatible with you is going to be unique to your interests, tastes, personal values etc. Finding a man that you can be open with and can communicate with is often most helpful. If you can find him in a church then good for you. But, you might find him in a gas station too. Joining a church might offer you a chance to meet a larger number of men who are at least open to spirituality, but be aware that some men go to church simply to meet a woman. Be discerning.

You can meet a good man any number of ways, matched by friends, doing things you enjoy i.e bowling, at the grocery store, laundry mat and even in a bar (that is where I met my second husband, and he is a GOOD person), you can also meet a good man at church but that should not be the primary reason to go to church. You will meet someone when you least expect it and most of the time are not looking.

That sounds rather hypocritical, wanting people to "believe" you're a good girl...be who you are. If you are not a church goer, don't go to church to find a partner...men are everywhere, just look around you. Where do you go, other than the ladies room, that you don't see a man?

You can be in a stable relationship, and still have fun. You make it sound like you're giving up one for the other...if you can't have fun in your relationship, it's not going to last very long.

The same guys you met at the bars on Saturday night are in church Sunday morning. You can try there, but meeting a guy at church does not promise a good relationship.

It won't work for everyone, but I met my wife because she placed an ad in the newspaper personals (in the days before online dating sites) and we have been married now 13 years and look forward to many more.

I met several not so great girls before I found the right one.

it's a place, the track record of a church is no better than others, there are good and bad church people. You have many options, work, social gatherings, casual meetings. it sounds like you are searching and not a regular church goer. Go to places you are comfortable> dont try to catorgize yourself.

The place you meet someone is irrelevant. There are plenty of good guys in the world. I believe that know matter where you meet someone, if you both are able to accept each other’s faults and good qualities things might happen. I would stay away from singles bars. Try finding something you like to do and maybe there will be someone.
