yeah, i thought so too.
but after a year with my underground business of dissecting humans that consumed pearls, i found that the pearl would be there would be if they got it directly from the ocean without cleaning it or anything.
it sucks, though, 'cos i thought i could make some easy cash on my ex-boyfriend... oh well. ;-)

I swallowed a pearl on time eating raw oysters. I felt it but it was too late. Not saying how I got it back. but I do still have that pearl.

Probably not.
You have to open them first, and you need a knife to do so. So probably you would be paying a lot of attention. So you'd see it if it is there.
