Everyone has bad days or moments. Don't sweat it. Personally, I will tell someone I can trust. Fortunately in my work situation I have people I can share with. Sometimes just telling someone I'm having a bad day helps me. Also, laugh at yourself. Sometimes I catch myself getting uptight about the stupidest things, and when I realize that I can laugh at myself. I guess if you are in a professional setting where you have no one you can share with, it might help to vent your feelings in a journal.

The best way I have learned to cope with a bad day whether socially or in the workplace is to understand that I can't control everything (ie peoples moods or my workload or some pyscho boss) and to only deal with the things I can control (ie how I react to the situation, my work pace) also taking a quick breath or going somewhere for about twenty minutes to take a breath and get my center back helps me too.
Of course taking a boxing class or some other type of hitting class helps as well. There's nothing like hitting a bag and picturing all the people you wish you could pop in the face there. but it really depends on what you like. Anything you can think of that will relieve the steam. Just don't bottle it up that's how folks get breakdowns.

Start looking around you, and thanking God for anything you see that you can be thankful for. I think we just start taking everything for granted; and, when we start to be aware of how truly blessed we are, we change our hell into a heaven.
We live like kings/queens compared to the rest of the world. We can start there, by being thankful for our blessings.
This morning I woke up under a roof instead of a family I know of in El Salvador who wakes up each day, rain or shine, under a bridge. The children play on their roof, the freeway.
Also Deepak Chopra says give a gift to every person who crosses your path. The gift can be a flower, a smile, a prayer. Look for ways to be of service to everyone who crosses your path during the course of the day. You will soar in heaven before the day is over. When we do our work in the spirit of service to mankind, we are worshipping God. We will live in the kingdom.

I do it by trying to live in the present, the moment- to forget all the crap that is going on around and inside me.
I focus on just being there-
the things I can see- notice small details
the things I can hear- including my own heartbeat
The things I can smell- focus on this one!
the things I can feel- including your skin as well as emotions
the things I can taste- a drink, chocolate etc
I know it sounds silly but it really does work, and can be adapted to any situation. It is good for just stepping away from what is going on and steping inside yourself for a few moments- there are always moments of wonder in small things.
Take care.

First, don't whine. Nobody at work wants to hear about it; it's unprofessional to bring your private baggage to work. Second, smile. I know what your're thinking...but that's not the reason I suggest smiling. It takes fewer muscles and less energy to smile than to frown, it makes other people more sympathetic and smooths your way through the day even when it's a tough one. Your friends are there to listen and help out...that's what friends are for. Don't be afraid to talk to them or to counselors, clergy or your doctor about your difficulties.

The best way is to try to relax...go for a walk or distract yourself from whatever it is that's bothering you. Everyone has a bad day at some point..but if it's frequently happening to you, then maybe you need to analyze just what it is that upsets you and try to resolve that problem.

Don't have bad days. The sun comes up in the East and sets in the West. It doesn't care what kind of day you have. Bad day or good day is all a matter of attitude.

1) Focus on the best day in your life. Recall why it was so perfect. Hold that feeling close to you like a blanket :)
