Older men date younger women all the time and they are looked at like they have won an olympic gold medal. Older women who date/marry younger men are called cradle robbers? WHY? Plus what age difference is considered to be to much?

I think a 4 to 5 year gap either way is ok. If you are adults. That way you are both still in the same generation.

I agree with you if a man is dating a younger girl he is praised. A woman dates a younger man and they talk about her like a dog. It's not fair!!! As far as the age thing my personnel feeling is if their old enough to be one of your kids then that's to young. lol

Older women dating older men is starting to be a trend now a day, so hopefully the bashing will go down. Mainly, I think, that women get bashed for dating younger men was because to some, it is against the norm. They say that women mature faster than men by like 3 years so ideally, they should find a man that's older than them by 3 years. That just happens to be what used to be the norm. Now a day, you see older women dating younger men all the time, but once society gets past that age thing, then they'll realize how great or bad the couple is just as the couple (then again, if it's bad then some'll blame it on the age difference). It's all in their head and they need to change with the times or get out of their little shell.

I don't see it that way myself. I do have an opinion on the age difference, 6 years either way as long as it is legal. Example: You are 20 and he is 14, then NO that is not acceptable. I guess why society has perceived women as being cradle robbers and such is because Women are also perceived as having higher morals and that has been that way through many years and only now starting to change in the last 10-15 years. That is the way I see it.

I dated a younger man and people called me many names and thought it was strange. We had this strange attraction to each other but it didn't last long when I found out he was obsessed and a jealous person. He turned out to be an abusive idiot. I guess I was a foreigner living in his culture. We were never serious and I rejected him. What I didn't realise was that when you make plans with someone to work out at the gym you are on a date. People gave us funny looks. To be honest, he looked older than I do. I think it is great if someone wants to date a younger guy. Sometimes age doesn't matter.

I think because of what is society is saying that men should be older but In my opinion if its love the age doesn't matter. Just stay away from minors I guess when your in your 30's you can date a guy who's as young as 25 lower than that it kinda sounds nasty.

I think it does not matter age but the only thing that matters to me is love. But say you married a younger man or woman and had kids it might not be a great example for the younger people.

My friend dated a younger girl before and we all joked with him about it. I think it may go both ways. But also I think it might have to do with other women who think it is not right. Because I don't think to many men care about it that I know.

Older women are not respected as romantic or sexual beings. Young people are frequently "grossed out" by the notion of mothers and grandmothers retaining their "womanly" status.

Even Dr. Phil could only find a guy in his seventies for a woman in her fifties.

That is why, widowed at 50, I shall probably be alone for the rest of my life.

That's an old throwback to when women were judged solely on their looks/fertility, and men are obviously fertile till they die.

So, as society changes, I think most of those things will even out, and people that date younger people just as "trophies" will be viewed as creepy no matter what their sex.
