I suppose there are two things you can try. the first is to tell your agent that's the kind of work you are looking for. if you don't have an agent, most non-profit actor's groups (every big city has one) may be able to put you in touch with any of several good agents.
The second idea is to approach the auto manufacturers directly. This would probably be more useful if you're really into cars as it would explain why you're not going through an agent, and many manufacturers have a job role whose sole responsibility is to do stuff like this at trade shows.
And the other answerer is right; in sales it helps if you look good.

I used to work for several motor dealerships, and I would say the only way to be able to work on a stand at a motor show is to be a Sales Manager or General Manager - or even Director - of a dealership.
