News to me, I didn't know they did. If your asking about male on male or female on female flirting, the answer should be obvious, you'd get knocked on your butt if you tried that with a straight person!

Because it is different from flirting with straight people. People get tired of the same old thing. Not that I have ever flirted with a gay person. I do not agree with homosexuality, I was just guessing.

Four things either they are gay themselves, the gay person is very very attractive and the straight person is wondering whether they can attract this attractive gay person (if they can then it makes them feel like they are good-looking as well, they probably want to experiment, or they probably want to mess with gay person's emotions.

I must say this first. ALOT of gay men are HOT! OMG, I sometimes get mad because the really hot ones are gay. =( I may flirt once ina while, but hey, it's okay.. they flirt back. Playfully, but still.

Like someone else said because it's safe. No fear of rejection.
If I flirt with someone that is lesbian and she doesn't want me I can chalk it up tp her knowing that I am straight.
