Why? if it's a Male to Female, they can just sit on the pot like any woman... none of this crap about 'forgetting' to put the lid down... and if they are a Female to Male, they can use a shoehorn...

Either way, I don't see any reason for special bathrooms... they can just use the same ones everyone else uses... or pee their pants.

Hmmmmmmm.... yes I hear you but not quite sure how to answer your question. These are the bathrooms that are men/women -- basically both sexes can use the same bathroom.

I am not sure. I am aware of some corporations that have men/women bathrooms for that very reason. I guess it is okay, I'd rather be able to go in and lock the door when I'm in one of these bathrooms then be in a women or men's bathroom and have someone come in who is clearly a man or woman and in the middle of their change.

I don't think that would work because these people might feel uncomfortable at others stare when coming out of that specific bathroom. They have the right to keep that matter private and should use the bathrooms that best fit the lifestyle they want to live: Male / Female is nobody's business but their own.

Well I like unisex bathrooms because we need to get away from our binary view of gender. If our bathrooms didn't denote the gender, I think it would be more supportive for everyone. In addition, a transgendered person wouldn't have to self identify (cause quite honestly who needs to know what's inside those jeans unless you take them off) every time they had to go. Everyone would use the same facility and it wouldn't matter what gender identity you chose.

Why should they have special treatment? Just because they have chosen to live a deviant lifestyle, doesn't mean that should be treated any different from normal people. Or maybe we should just gather them and all of the other deviants like homosexuals and treat them real special---in a special prison- built just for them.

As long as the stalls have doors on them, who gives a crap. I would imagine if a woman is transgendered into male he would still be using a stall instead of the urinal. same for men who become women, they would be using the ladies room and also in a stall. So who freakin cares.

how would you label the door? wouldn't that alone make the transman or transwoman feel odd? they don't want to be seen as different, they want to be seen as who they are. besides, outside of gay bars, where else would you see someone who looks like a woman come out of a man's bathroom? i imagine that a transman would use the men's room, and a transwoman would use the ladies.

Good idea.

My high school had one, we had 9 intersex or transgendered people while I was attending school there. 3 doors, labelled: 'Boys', 'Girls', and the last, 'Everything Else' , no joke. one stall, locked door, and each of the tg/is people had a key.

Unisex bathrooms everywhere would be best, IMO.

Bad Question, that is!
And where do you propose to put it? in the middle of the doors that says male and female?
And what kind of icon will you use for it? the one that says male/female?
