Andre Kirk Agassi (born April 29, 1970, in Las Vegas, Nevada) is an Armenian-American professional tennis player and is a former World No. 1. He has won eight Grand Slam singles titles, and is one of only five players to have won all four Grand Slam events. Agassi was married to the actress Brooke Shields from 1997 to 1999. Since 2001, he has been married to the German tennis legend Steffi Graf, with whom he has two children.
On June 24, 2006, Agassi announced that he will retire from tennis after the 2006 U.S. Open, bringing an end to his 20-year professional tennis career
