I met him at camp. He's a camp counselor. He is really nice, THE PROBLEM: he's 23 and i'm alittle more than 10 years younger.

if he's 23 and you're 13 and he likes you then he has some serious issues. you probably just think he likes you. there will never be a relationship between the two of you...and if there ever is...trust me your dad will cut his balls off.

If that situation would turn sexual then it would be so illegal. It wouldn't even be statutory rape. If you said that you were a little more than 10 years younger than him and you did something physically intimate, it would be child molestation given the fact you are 12 judging by what you said. Even if you were past 12 and were something on the more digestible age of say 16 or 17, that is still a massive age gap and you would be in two very different stages in life. A 23 year old that likes a known 12-13 year old girl may be a pedophile if not now, then latter on if the interest in girls of that age group continues. There are 6 billion people on this plant. 3 billion men and about 145 million of them are in this country. I think you can find one like him, but closer to your own age. Good luck.

You probably don't want to read this but I will write it anyway. You can choose to ignore it. A person who works in a capacity of trust with children knows that it is inappropriate to convey any messages that can be taken as a "special interest." The fact that he has done this or even given you the slightest indication that he is interested in you beyond a leader/youth role is very suspicious. I can almost guarantee you that he has done this before with other girls and probably within your same group. If it is the "real" thing, it will last until you are old enough. If not, you have not lost anything by waiting. I understand it's fun and exciting to fantasize about what could happen when someone likes you, but it's even more fun and exciting when the relationship is not illegal, immoral and unethical.

I'm also 23 years old...if the thoughts that go through his head are even half as deviant as the ones that go through mine, you don't want to get involved with that.
I know it seems like he's a great, sweet guy and all...but a relationship with that kind of age difference would never work. It's not a matter of 10 years, it's a matter of percentage. Think of it this way...when he was your age, you were only 3...
He is an adult. You are a child.

Sick...there is something seriously wrong with that guy. Stay away...far away. I have a theory that if a guy is old enough to go to the bar but he's trying to pick up high school (or younger) chicks then he is just weird. Maybe if you were 18 and in Gr.12 then it would be alright but your not.

The solution is simple. Look for a boyfriend your own age.
Nothing should happen between you and this counselor at this time, maybe you could get together ten years from now.

the reason he is a camp counselor may be the same reason he is interested in a little girl we have all had crushes when young the responsible adult should draw the line.If he takes the relationship further you must report him

If he is not mature enough to recgnize that you are still a little girl, then he should not be working with kids. This is a dangerous situation. You should not have anything to do with him AND you need to tell your parents> You need protecting and he needs to be confronted by all of the proper people

The relationship will be illegal and even if you do anything that might be consensual, the courts will still put him into jail and label him a sexual predator. I have seen it happen before.

if your 10 years younger than him that puts you about 13 in age yes it would be very much illegal your a minor he could go to prison for it

there are two choices:
-stop thinking about him cause age 13 is not a good time to have a boyfriend as old as he is....i guess it's just YOU getting matured, you start to like someone. but this will come and go....this is just a crush, trust me there will be a lot of guys you will probably like at your age. i am trying to say, that you will "love" some easily....the hormone at your age is blowing...it's just the hormones..
-wait until you're at least 18, he'd be like 28...it doesnt like to extreme, does it?
