open internet explorer
click help
then click "about internet internet explorer"
here you can get the version no. and product id of your internet explorer and any major updates that youhave installed such as service packs. etc.

You go to http://www.mozilla.com/ and hit the button to download, which will actually fix the HUGE number of flaws, from Internet Exploder! Also will block all pop-ups!

on every explorer, you will find a "help" menu, on the "Help" menu click about.
and the u will find out what explorer ur using.
